Mild mange. With a bit of cooperation from the wombat, it will get treated.

Yes. There were two regular visitors to the back of the cottages every afternoon. These two were not shy and one was on the boardwalk as we came past. It didn't move and I could have reached out and patted it. The mum and baby came out one afternoon. In the early morning we would see them scurrying to their burrows under the shrubs. These, further away from the cottages were more shy and actually ran across our path to get home. One afternoon I found one just outside its burrow have a snooze in the sun.

Looks like it could be developing mange. Being out and about in the daytime also suggests that.

Goodness, that's a close approach. Ours aren't that tame - in that situation they'd have dived down the burrow by the time I was 5m away. Looks like it could be a young one, still a bit gormless.
