X. resinosa occurs as far north as Dudley in Central Coast NSW, and as far inland as the Gardens of Stone National Park.

By contrast, X. glauca subsp. glauca (https://vicflora.rbg.vic.gov.au/flora/taxon/a16f8a34-1143-4a84-94e8-65ab97a5e727) and X. glauca subsp. angustifolia (https://vicflora.rbg.vic.gov.au/flora/taxon/859faa43-601b-461d-8749-68a83885c008) can be excluded as neither subspecies occur within the bioregion of Carrington Falls.

I'm happy to bump this one back to genus. I hadn't realised X.resionsa came up this far.

Possibly X. resinosa in this locality. The leaves appear straight with little flexion, which is typically more consistent with the stiff, rigid leaves of X. resinosa, by contrast, X. australis leaves are more flexible and tend to recurve more than this specimen.

And for examples how to differentiate between Xanthorrhoea resinosa and Xanthorrhoea australis and Xanthorrhoea glauca !

See notes in VicFlora for some more information partly helpful for identifying vegetative only plants (without any fertile materials):
