Great photo.
This appears to be A mimetes mimetes (Dusky Antechinus).
- general chocolate colouring is typical for A m m in Sydney sandstone region
- ear is smaller than in A stuartii
- tail is shorter than in A st
- fore-claws are much longer than in A st

Antechinus stuartii

A new species for NatureMapr and NatureMapr's South Coast region. Excellent photos.
Judging by the records to be seen on line, a species with a widespread distribution in southern Australa but not commonly observed. One of those species it would be interesting to know mare about.

Yes.
The capsules, especially in their groups' structures, are distinctive, so if you may revisit and look around on the ground under this tree for capsules then photograph them,
then this identification can be checked .
