Suspect that this is a Lycoperdon perlatum. However as not sure safer to leave it with the genus name. My humbel apologies for having taken so long to identify this sighting for you.
Yes agree Rattus rattus as the tail is longer then the body. If you have a dead one then pull the tail over the body and it will extend beyond the nose. Rattus fuscipes tail does not extend beyond the nose.
The tree is 25cm diameter. The pic is only a frame from one of two 10 sec videos that I cant upload here, and i think there is vocalisation can be heard on one . If you can give me an email address I can pass on the videos .
