User's notes

I'm not sure which Hibbertia species this is?

Based on the relatively broad leaf with recurved margins, and the small number of stamens all on one side of the ovary.

On reviewing this sighting, I'm now thinking it is H. aspera, due to the impressed vein on the upper leaf surface, and narrower petals. H. empetrifolia has more broadly triangular petals (both have the notch in the tip). Both are locally common, with empetrifolia usually on sandier soils and it is a smaller, stragglier shrub usually. They are diabolically similar in photos, easier to pick "in the flesh" from their habit.

I went looking for it but couldn't find it. I can see that the initial sighting was in 2016. We don't mow but possibly the drought bowled it over.
