It might be Pultenaea capitellata or Pultenaea rosmarinifolia. One of the moderators who has more recent familiarity than I may recognise it to species level on sight.
Zoomed in on the photo and couldn't see the characteristic Pultenaea forked stipules. I'm thinking it might be Aotus ericoides, a variable little beast. The pure yellow flowers would fit with that.
I agree it looks like Aotus ericoides with leaves more or less in 3's and very little red on flowers. The only other (similar) possibility at South pacific heathland is Dillwynia floribunda. Its much easier in the field of course.
