User's notes

This gorgeous creature lives in my roof. Seen here making its way back 'home'. This snake is approx. 9 feet in length (I have a full shed skin from a couple if nights ago!)

A nice big specimen that is probably a female imo, as the really big ones like this are usually females in my experience. She's in great condition, capable of reproducing this season and may already be gravid with eggs. Did you happen to observe any mating activity or male suitors around this Spring?

Hi Patrick! I have only seen this one so far. It came down in to the home a couple of nights ago and removed its skin on the mud bricks, I will post footage of this once I learn how to reduce the file sufficiently. Incredible to watch. The old skin was complete and measures over 9 feet in length. I had thought they gave birth to live offspring, will be looking out for any further opportunities to 'capture' him/her and any littluns over the next few months!

Hi Jules. You're fortunate to witness a snake sloughing its skin, as they're vulnerable at the time and tend to be secretive during the process. The sloughed skin is usually longer than the snake, but it's still a big specimen.
