I think this could be Podocarpus elatus, which has leaves 6-18 mm wide and 5-14 cm long and is a tree. Spinulosus has sharp pointed leaves 2-6 mm wide, and to 8 cm long, and is usually a shrub, occasionally a small tree. Please comment.

This a widely growing sprawling shrub to about 1.5 - 2m. Leaves are only up to around 5-6mm wide.

I'd be fairly certain it's P. spinulosus as never seen elatus down this far south. Also only ever to 2 meters in Meroo NP, even in sheltered site.

As far as I know, P. elatus goes as far south as Jervis Bay.
This is definitely P. spinulosus, based on leaves and habit.
