I think you are correct in this drier environment. I would like to see a leaf cross section to be sure.

I'd be going with X. concava in a forested habitat like that. In my experience X. resinosa is in heath and areas with impeded drainage.

Sorry, I should have checked on this one earlier - I forgot I had taken a punt. Jackie is correct. Well done. Thank you for the cross section, its indicative of X. concava. Also the length of the spike appears half as long as the scape.
