GG can survive post fire but most of the population dies from starvation. I have survey data on arboreal mammals from Meroo and Murramarang and it would be appropriate to resurvey these sites. However, given the lack of funding I can not see this happening. A real shame as the populations around Jervis bay and Conjola NP appear to have declined signficantly.
As there has been viral interest expressed on our Facebook page - 35,000 views, 380 shares - we should set up a GoFundMe campaign to support a survey. (I'll email you Gary)
Dear George, Thanks for you help doing the GG surveys in Murramarang NP. I would also like permission to use this image in a scientific article on the species.
