Pittosporum Beetle. In the sun, the beetle was a beautiful metallic bronze with the smaller indentations shining green, depending on the direction of the light.

Hi Fiona, So did you take some larvae home from Lake Curalo and grow them on? How long was the pupation period? We tried too, but I think our larvae managed to escape (probably pupated under the sofa or something!).

Hi Jackie. Yes, these were the ones from Lake Curalo. Pupation period for the two caterpillars was roughly 2.5 weeks though the second one is still to turn into a beetle but suspect that will happen within the next day or two.
