Hi Jackie, Max and I have also photographed this species at Bermi, but in saltmarsh along the river, where they were mostly associated with glasswort (https://atlasoflife.naturemapr.org/Community/Species/Sightings/18067). There's a very similar Saltbush Blue that could also be around and its larvae feed on Rhagodia, which is the very succulent bright green plant that grows on dunes and headlands (https://atlasoflife.naturemapr.org/Community/Species/Sightings/19218). From your map it looks like your critter may have been more in that sort of habitat. We agonised over our photos for ages as the two are barely distinguishable, and eventually went for samphire blue mostly because the habitat was better. If you manage to see it again, photos of the upper wings might help.
