Plants in flower after bush fire 1st February on north west facing ridge. Many insects coming to the flowers.

This one is a weed with very persistent seed, carried in those spiny capsules. If you let it produce seed you will have it coming up for years. It's hard luck on the insects, but I'd suggest getting rid of it. It looks like the fruit is not very developed yet, so you have a week or two to deal with it.
