A handsome reptile. It would be unusual, I'd think, to see one moving over such exposed ground during the day.

Can't help good luck Max, because that is exactly what it was doing. Helps to have a long lens close at hand! My only other Death adder sighting was further up the road towards Araluen; again, moving (slowly) over exposed ground (road) during the day.......
