The fairly uniform coloration on the back, without stripes, and with a fine freckling of little green dots, plus the cross in the pupil, make this Litoria peronii, which is the species most often recorded hanging around houses. They often climb up windows and walls after insects attracted to the lights, and get into downpipes where they seem to appreciate the echo chamber effect magnifying their calls.
Yeah, probably another favoured hang-out. At least they can climb out, unlike the poor skinks that occasionally get into ours. I try to remember to store them upside-down or on their sides for that reason.
