Luckily with this and the spotted gum you've picked a couple of species with very distinctive bark, but as a rule with eucs it is good to include a shot of leaves (upper and lower surface - you can fold a leaf over to show if there is any colour contrast), juvenile leaves if available (eg seedling or sapling under the parent tree) and fruits and/or buds if available. Oddly, flowers are not much help - they all look the same! But yeah, a good shot of the bark like this is also very useful, and looking up the trunk the way you have helps show if the rough bark goes all the way up or is just a basal stocking.
