User's notes

A large (15 cm across) leathery black bracket growing in the stump of a fallen wattle. When broken it crumbled to red-brown powdery residue. Not like any bracket fungus I've seen before.

This is the very aged remnants of an Amauroderma rude which tend to go black when very old. Well spotted
