User's notes

The area in which this bird was spotted is being 're-wilded' (in some eyes, the words they'd use would be 'let go'), to allow a habitat for small birds and mammals. The other side of this habitat is that it then becomes a supermarket for birds of prey (including owls?). Hmmmmm
