I don't have my books with me, so I won't confirm it yet, but it looks very much to me like a Long-nosed Bandicoot, with those very big ears and the horizontal, not erect, stance. They are not uncommon foraging around National park campsites.

Thanks, I wasn’t sure if it was a potoroo or a bandicoot, it was hopping a bit like a kangaroo, great to see them either way!

Checked the books and those big ears definitely make it a bandicoot not a potoroo.
