User's notes

This cuckoo made it very difficult to get a photo often turning its back to me. It was shadowy and dark. I think its a brush cuckoo. The eye ring seems non-existant no matter how much i lighten the photos. It was darn quiet.

Fair enough, if you couldn't see any eye ring. We've been hearing Brush Cuckoos a lot this season so it's a pretty fair bet that's what it is.
