Hi Erin, There was some discussion of the differences between P. dendyi and P. bibroni on ALCW previously, but I think the observation it was attached to has been taken down now, as part of the transition from Naturemapr to iNaturalist platform. You might do better to put this sighting on iNaturalist, and you can find out how (more or less) by reading the instructions on the ALCW home page. Good luck! Jackie PS I did try to ID this but the differences between the two species are subtle. The brightness of the yellow on the shoulder was mentioned, but as your animal is dead, it might not be the same colour as it was in life.
Thanks Jackie. Ok, I'll record to iNaturalist, but I'm thinking it might be too tricky to definitively ID? Should I still record it on iNaturalist then? Thanks, Erin
Hi Erin, Yeah, whack it up. There's access to a lot more specialists on iNat, so someone might have a go at it. Or they might not. It seems a bit haphazard what gets ID'd and what doesn't.
