It’s a fairly common plant on the south coast so I’ll confirm based on your observation. Composita is really the only likely possibility at this site anyways. But please Kylie, leaves leaves leaves!!!
I should also say that all of these sighting you’ve been posting this last couple weeks have been fantastic. It’s great to see this site being revitalised, even if your (like me) only an occasional visitor to the south coast. :)
TYVM Tapirlord. I really enjoyed my time. I thought once I went into 'everything' other than just birds, it would be the same old same old year in and year out and get a bit boring - but its not like that. Each season is different. So if I can record as much as possible, then I can see the changes easier. I'm getting better at ID but still fall flat on my face now and then! TY for all your IDing. I really appreciate it.
It's amazing what you find when you start looking a little closer!! Plant identification can be finicky at times, but if you can identify confidently into groups like peas, daises etc. you're doing pretty good. Getting to genus is even better, if you do it for long enough you be giving me a run for my money. ;)
