User's notes

I thought this was a leaf from a casuarina, caught hanging from another casuarina needle. I was surprised to see legs suddenly emerge from the 'needle', then see the body curl as it climbed up, then down, its silken rope. An amazing camouflage, and I wonder if this spider has evolved specifically for casuarinas? The colour, the shape, the size - exactly like a casuarina needle. (is this a 'whip' spider?)
