User's notes

One small bat flying around inside the house. Dark brown fur on back, white shoulder patch on one shoulder. Small ears. No tail.

Its one of the evening bats (family vespertilionidae) probably a forest bat (Vespadelus spp) but its very hard to ID these species without measuring them. The white spot on the shoulder is an unusual marking specific to that individual bat - its rare to see but some individual bats have white blotches.
