User's notes

An amazing sight - hundreds of sea birds streaming for minutes from shore, to settle on the ocean (presumably to feed); their back drop - humpback whale families, slapping their tails or curving their way through the choppy waves.

Wow - I thought that’s what they might have been, but too timid to guess. I thought there might be gannets too? I had no idea about the wedgies. It really was amazing to watch them streaming past - soooo many!!

I can't see any gannets in the pictures (only gulls and *possibly* a crested tern), but I have no doubt that they would have been in the area. With all the shearwaters and whales there must've been a decent amount of fish around!
