User's notes

Family of three with an older fledgling, that I have seen a few times. This time, it was in the evening. The family were getting restless, the fledgling begging and being fed. Nearby were the pair with the unmarked female, feeding. Then the fledgling became quite excited, calling loudly. Suddenly, from a distance, I could hear a faint call, and another family of three glided into a large tree approx. 100m away. The fledgling increased his screeching, and the new family flew gracefully up to the family close to me (which I managed to video). The young one in the new family was also screeching loudly. The new family settled briefly in a tree next to the older family, then flew to their tree, causing the older family to disperse in a flurry of red and black. The new family were vocal and only the male chewed a casuarina cone briefly, before the three took off again, calling and moving through the air with agile grace. The older family stayed for a while longer, before following the other family, along with the unmarked couple.
