Identifiable south coast female - 'Star'. Star has a bright dot on her left forehead; yellow feather above her beak on the right side; thick yellow collar under right side of chin; and yellow dotted feathering on left shoulder. Interestingly, Star's mate was calling with a mating call, on and off over an hour, as they flew between trees around 11.30, then when settled and feeding before moving to a tree to rest, around 3.30pm. After he called with his mating call, the female (Star) moved to him where they allopreened. (I had to leave shortly afterwards)
