There are no distinguishing features that identifies this as Xanthorrhoea, this may perhaps be a species of true grass. X. macronema does possess similar characteristics, but this region is too far south of its range. Therefore unidentified.

Thanks, Jackie. At least it’s now clearer as to what it could be. Being in a muddy gap between rocks, I wasn’t able to get a clearer photo.
