That would be one hell of a Jacky Lizard. It's actually a water dragon, but I can't say which one, because I'm not sure how to tell them apart.

There's two in my garden, one pale and one dark. I will see if I can get photos of them. This one eating the mouse is the darker one. They also like to eat biscuit crumbs and bits of cashew. I don't really feed them. They come and clean up under the table.

Have to wait for Harrison to say if it is a Gippsland Water Dragon or an Eastern. I don't have any recent enough reptile books to tell me the difference. Harrison - some tips on this would be welcome - I have photos of both (one taken in Brisbane so I assume can't be Gippsland one) but I can't see what the differences are, or at least there are some, but they might just be age or sex differences. The smaller dragon was a Jacky Lizard alright.
