Just going back over some unidentified photos and found this. I'd say it is probably the weedy Galium aparine, common name "goosegrass" or "cleavers", but more often called velcro plant, due to being covered in hooked hairs. It's a common riparian weed. If it doesn't have the hooked hairs then it might be one of the native Galiums, but it looks more like the weedy one, which is much more robust than the natives.
