Fabulous image - well done Jenny! What date did you see this and where? with underwater sightings, the images don't hasve the GPS location which this system picks up automatically from land based sightings. We have to put the dot on the map where we saw the creature. I can show you how to do this at the week-end if you like.
Hi Libby, Bill Barker took the photo on the reef off Longnose Point, Batemans Bay in Feb 2015. I think the same species was later seen by someone else (Poyners?) in Wagonga Inlet.
It's a great sighting. I do not know how to go into a sighting and modify the date or location, I wonder if any other moderators or admin have done that?
Once you have selected your entry you can then click on the edit button which is above the map on the right hand side, when the page reloads, go to the bottom of the page and you can select the option you are after to change the location or date. You need to enter the date, year - month - day
Sorry I got my Points mixed. Bill photographed the animal at Long Nose Point on the southern side of Burrewarra Point, near Guerilla Bay. I'm having trouble getting the map to log where I put the marker.
Not sure why it wouldn't move to the location you are after, I just moved one of my markers for a recent sighting and it moved to the new location. The only thing I can think of is that you mightn't have clicked the update the sighting after selecting the new sight.
