Nice shots, better for ID than your previous sighting in the same area, and an excellent match to the photo in our dragonflies field guide. Better start checking round some other coastal water bodies and see if the species is more widely distributed in the region. Max and I have not seen it anywhere yet.

Hi, Jackie. I will be doing the Light to Light Walk, weather and distractions permitting, over the next few weeks so I will be on the lookout for other possible sites. I have to do the walk in stages as I have to return to the car each time and don't do overnights.

Good-oh, We'll expect some good photos of all sorts of things. Max is about to post an image of the same dragonfly he took at Wallagoot Lake N shore yesterday.
