Found on log in damp gully. ID is best guess given hairy cap, but could be way off.

Dean you were correct with your first name but as Patricia pointed out to me a couple of weeks ago, than name has now been changed to Lentinus fasciatus. Due to DNA analysis being so advanced these days names and taxons are constantly changing and its quite difficult to keep upto date with them all. Panus fasciatus was changed to Lentinus fasciatus, not sure exactly when but look up Index Fungorum for more details. Hope you find this useful. Teresa

Something more for nothing hey......
Its been a long time and I'm not sure how to go about it any more. Rather snowed under with the microscope doing ID's over ½ the day of late & the rest in the field; just give me a bit of time & I'll look into it.....

I'm trying but nothing will let me in; got a fantastic image which shows all necessary ID features but nothing will permit me entry, so there must be a glitch in the system somewhere; sorry I have tried. I'll email you the image...
