It probably is var. reflexa but with no bracts I am conservative in my IDs. Remember that these sightings are copied to ALA with the whole of Australia to look at them and criticise.
Hi Charles, As a general comment, you need to back off a bit with your photos to include more of the plant, or take more than one photo. We had the same problem with one of our best contributors on ALCW initially, getting in too close and taking beautiful photos with amazing flower detail, but not enough foliage to make a definite ID. Frustrating. Including an object for scale in one of the photos can also be good - a ruler is best, but a finger tip or a dead leaf or some such in the background can also help. And I would think in this extremely coastal site that var speciosa is more likely, but I'm not going to stick my neck out either!
