Hypocysta irius, Orange-streaked ringlet, is a species of butterfly of the family Nymphalidae. It is found in Australia, including Queensland and New South Wales. The wingspan is about 30 mm.
Hi Charles, we don't get Hypocysta irius this far south, it is a species from Queensland and northern NSW. Compare the hindwings of the two species, you'll see that H. irius has more prominent eyespots than H. metirius. What do you think?
