User's notes

This Python was hiding in one the refuge huts for the Little Tern Chics, it was removed by the National Parks and relocated after we reported it, not sure if we lost any chics but non were sighted near the Python

This is an interesting and valuable observation, as it documents what appears to be predation on beach nesting birds, which requires considerable venturing across open ground in order to get to the prey (assuming the coordinate precision is accurate).

It looks like a paralysis tick on its head.

Hi Yes it is the location and it has a tick. Not only did it cross the sand but also the salt water entrance from Manyana going on its tracks.

Thanks Charles. It's even more remarkable then and a fair bet that it's made the effort (with its inherent risk) on previous occasions, no doubt with the reward of a meal.
