More like Casuarina glauca (very common on the clayey Termeil Essexite soils at Bawley Point).

You really need to have a closeup of the photosynthetic fine branches showing the grooves clearly enough so they can be counted, plus a good closeup of a cone. Casuarinas are stinkers to ID.
Or a moderator who is very familiar with that particular area and prepared to confirm the sighting from a photo like this.
