Poor photo but worth recording as these ducks are not common in our region. About a dozen Freckled Ducks were sleeping at Glebe Park in Bega among all of the more common water fowl. (Note: only the lower right duck in the photo is a Freckled.)

Yeah, we saw them on the 26th too - sighting from Max up-coming. I counted up to 15, but they all had their heads tucked under most of the time, making it hard to be sure which were freckled and which were various other ducks.
