I would be fairly confident of this one.
Keep an eye out for introduced species, including hybrids. A robust, red-stemmed exotic hybrid is commonly used in the Illawarra by Councils, nurseries, etc.

Yep the foliage looks nice and grey-green on this one. I've seen some planted in dune restoration near Batemans Bay that I have my doubts about being native, with very large, bright flowers and brighter green foliage. Images on the web often look to me like they've been mislabelled, so it's all a bit of a mess trying to sort out what's native and what's introduced..
