We only have Platysace lanceolata at this Reserve. Looks like Trachymene incisa with so much leafless stem, but I would like to see the leaves. Ulladulla (Plantnet) but now Wairo Beach is the southern limit and Trachymene is common here.
Other Wildflower Trachymene incisa subsp. incisa on 20 Jan 2019

One thing it is not is Rice Flower, which has four ‘petals’. I am inclined to agree with Nicholas. Trachymene incisa certainly occurs in the heath near Ulladulla, and its flower cluster is much tighter. If there was a photo of the leaves there would be no question of which species it is. Trachymene incisa has deeply dissected leaves, and Platysace linearifolia has narrow leaves.
Where there is not enough information in the photos uploaded to decide between two species, I am afraid the sighting has to be marked off as Unidentified.
