A great sighting, Charles! Species in this genus have disappeared from much of their former range.

Have still been seeing them only on odd occasions and seem to like the tick bush

That’s an interesting observation, Charles. Terry Houston comments in a 1992 paper that very few observations have been made on the feeding preferences of this genus, but notes that X. aeratus was seen visiting Leucopogon and Leptospermum flowers on Kangaroo Island.
