Thanks for posting this, Tara. It’s a different introduced pest wasp species to the Asian Paper Wasp, which has recently appeared in the Bega Valley.
And one which is also becoming increasingly common down here. It has been around longer than the Asian Paper Wasp, so is probably more widespread. It has become very common on the southern tablelands. Often seen investigating the radiators of parked cars for smashed insects that are trapped there, being carnivorous. Who said insects weren't smart?
