Although Opuntia are hard to ID to species, I think I can safely do this one because I had an Opuntia infestation at Barlings Beach, not too far away, reliably identified as stricta a few years ago (it's gone now, buried under new housing). This is on Jimmie's Island? I recall ESC weeds guys were heading out there to do some weed control a couple of months back so I'm hoping it has been dealt with by now.
