A new species of Myxomycetes for NSW found in the Box Cutting Rain Forest
User's notes
This specimen was first found in 2018 and sent away for analysis. Earlier this year we were advised that we had found a new species of Tubifera - very exciting for us, as this is our second new species of myxomycetes.
Our colleague, Sarah, in Tasmania also found the same species at a similar time and had sent hers away to the same herbarium.
Dr. Dmitry Leontyev did the study for us at H.S. Slovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University, and his paper was published on 20th August 2019 which includes the new species for NSW named Tubifera vanderheuliae
