We watched it for quite a while but did not see any arm-waving. It remained extremely stationary between sudden activity climbing to the top. We thought that it was very exposed to predation but when it was still, it blended into the dead branches so well it was difficult to see.
OK, cool. Thanks. It's probably wise to stay still. Perhaps it thought you were a predator? Males tend to have very dark grey(almost black) throats and chest like this specimen, and proportionately larger/slightly chunkier heads compared to females.
