Crested Shriketit? This was take quite a few years ago in the top foliage of a gum. Colours are all wrong for a Crested Shriketit but the shape fits.

Hi Fiona, No idea on this one. Could be a shrike-tit with atypical feather colour, though I doubt that happens much. Usually oddly coloured birds are all white in my experience. Might just delete your multiple sightings for this bird, as being unidentifiable.

No worries. You'll know in future to put all the photos in a single sighting eh? And it turns out I was wrong about birds with odd colour patterns being all white, given the weird coloured Currawong you also put up. Sort of like a Currawong in sepia!

Gotta admit - that bill is unmistakable as Crested "secateurs" Shrike-tit. Ask any bird bander!
