Good on you. By the way, seedlings of the shrub Leucopogon parviflorus that grows on beach dunes can be mistaken for sea spurge, and your first photo does look a bit like that species. However the red base of the stem gives it away as spurge, plus the 2nd photo with it flowering. But before yanking them, it's always worth considering the seedling Leucopogon possibility.
