Alarm calls by Butcherbirds alerted us to the presence of a Southern Boobook in a neighbour’s tree. The photo shows the owl behind one of the calling Butcherbirds.

great sighting. thats how i saw my first Boobook - the other birds alerted me. They can't get much sleep!
