User's notes

Found growing out of an old stump. They were soft to touch but firm. There was no underside to them, the edges were attached to the stump.

This fungus used to be known as Pycnoporus coccineus. It's just emerging from it's woody substrate. As they mature they will start to form brackets with pores on the underside.
