Glossy blacks usually feed and water in the forest close to Chinnock. They were present after Black Summer but are now gone. We will post again on their return.
Jackie, Libby, you are correct. I'm reporting on an absence - which is probably not useful and I won't do that again unless it IS useful. (My first contribution!)
I also tried to report multiple sightings of blue banded bees since the fires began but couldn't get the date to co-operate. I'll try again later...
